Ineffable Husbands
The three of you share a bed after a long day. You’re in a half state of consciousness; not quite asleep, but not quite awake.
Aziraphale lays on your right, his bedside lamp still on as he reads one of his books. Your head rests on his chest, his heartbeat gentle and comforting beneath your ear. He occasionally ghosts his fingers through your hair, careful not to wake you, as he is oblivious to your semi-consciousness. Through heavy, barely opened eyes you can see the soft smile adorning his face.
Crowley half spoons you from behind, half-sprawls across his side of the bed, having succumbed to the pull of sleep many hours ago. His arm is haphazardly thrown around your middle and the breath from his soft snoring tickles your ear. You revel in the warmth he radiates, a sated smile of your own spreads across your lips, accompanied by a contented sigh.
Your love for each other fills the room, making it somehow cozier. The rain and the soft sounds of your Ineffable Boys slowly lull you back into the one of the best slumbers you’ve ever had. All is well.
